Gilbert A. Thompson, Jr.

Mr.Gilbert A.Thompson Jr. is a Partner of the firm whose areas of expertise include Real Estate Law, Commercial Law, Estate Law, Company Incorporation and Mortgages. Mr.Thompson attended Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario,Canada where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Buckingham University, England, United Kingdom where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree with honours. Mr.Thompson was called to the Bar of England in July of 1996 as a Member of the Honourable Society of Gray”s Inn and was admitted to The Bahamas Bar in September of 1996.

 

 

Dywan A.G.R. Rodgers

Dywan Rodgers is a Partner in the firm whose principal areas of practice are grounded in civil and commercial litigation, and dispute resolution. Dywan’s areas of expertise include Employment Law and Industrial Relations Law, Contract Law, Negligence and Personal Injury Law, Debt Recovery, Admiralty and Shipping Law, Property Law, Intellectual Property and the Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in The Bahamas. Although the Firm does not generally engage in criminal law practice, Dywan has participated and successfully defended several criminal suits.Dywan has appeared as Counsel in varying civil actions, before all forums sitting within The Bahamas. In particular, he has litigated and appeared before the Privy Council, the Magistrate’s Court, the Industrial Tribunal, the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, as well as Court appointed and voluntary Mediation and Arbitration Hearings. He has acted on behalf of several major institutions and individuals, international and local. In addition to his practice, Dywan also lends assistance in the law classes and tutorials at the Eugene Dupuch Law School, Nassau, Bahamas. Dywan obtained his LLB (Hons.) at the University of Essex, England and was called to the Honourable Bar of England and Wales, as a member of Lincoln’s Inn, and to the Honourable Bar of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in 1998.
